Filter the Stream down to only events that involve you.

Look for the Q pills on top of the Stream
Tap Just me on the pill row. That filters down to only your personal events.

Make it your default
Settings → You → Appearance → Default scope → Just me. Now that's what opens first every time.

Still see the family stuff when you want
Tap the Family pill any time to pop out to the full family view.
