Filter the Stream down to only events that involve you.

Look for the Q pills on top of the Stream
Tap Me on the pill row. That filters down to only your personal events.

Make it your default
Settings → You → Appearance → Default scope → Me. Now that's what opens first every time.

Still see the family stuff when you want
Tap the Family pill any time to pop out to the full family view.
